Questions people actually ask
How much does commercial window film cost per square foot?
Commercial work generally runs about $7 to $18 per square foot installed, driven by film grade, access difficulty, and whether work happens during or outside business hours. Larger elevations price better per foot. We quote line-item so you can see exactly what drives the number.
Will window film void the glass warranty?
Not when the film is matched to the glass. Some films are not approved for certain sealed insulated units because of thermal stress. We verify glass makeup during the survey and specify accordingly, which protects both the glazing warranty and the film warranty.
Can you work after hours so we don't disrupt tenants?
Yes. Most occupied commercial projects are scheduled evenings, weekends, or phased floor by floor. We plan the sequence around your operations during the survey.
How much energy will window film actually save?
Savings depend on your glass, orientation, HVAC system, and utility rate, so any single percentage quoted without a survey is marketing. What film reliably does is cut peak solar gain on sun-exposed elevations, which reduces cooling load and evens out hot and cold zones. We provide the manufacturer's tested performance data for the specified film.
Do you provide documentation for specifications and bids?
Yes. We supply film data sheets, performance values, warranty terms, and a line-item proposal suitable for facilities review, architect submittal, or a competitive bid package.
Does security film make glass bulletproof?
No, and any installer who says otherwise is misleading you. Security film holds broken glass together, which delays forced entry and reduces flying glass injury. It is a delay and containment measure, not ballistic protection.
